This site is dedicated to the memory of CHARLES AND ROBINA HUNT.

Charles and Robina Hunt were a devoted couple who were married for over 60 years until Robina sadly passed away aged 80 years during one of their many short breaks in Bournemouth in 2002. Charles passed away on 3rd July 2010 aged 93 years.
Charles was a World War II Royal Navy veteran on the Russian Convoys and during his time on HMS Belfast was involved in the sinking of the Scharnhorst and D-Day landings and was mentioned in dispatches. After the war he worked at Derby loco works before moving to Rolls Royce where he spent many years as Works Convenor. In 1971 he was instrumental in the rescue of the company and for this he was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to Industry.
Charles met Robina during the war in her hometown of Glasgow and were married within a very short time of meeting. Robina worked for many years in catering in Aitons, Derby before retirement in 1982. They were the devoted parents of two sons, Harry and Alistair; very special in-laws of Jackie and Linda; cherished grandparents of Ian, Lorna, Stuart, Elizabeth and Laura; and much loved by the recent arrivals of great-granddaughters Abigale, Morgan, Victoria, Sarah, Claire and Jenna.
They always supported R.N.L.I. as they thought that it is a very worthwhile charity.
